Perhaps if some of these people were to lose some of the privileges and rights they have as Americans, such as having and profiting from their business, they would be more properly respectful of the flag which represents our freedom. I say people with such an attitude are no better than those who have attacked us. That is, of course just my opinion, and I am only a humble American.

School Children Told American T-Shirts 'Not Appropriate' Assistant Superintendent Says Incident Was 'Mistake' Posted: 6:41 p.m. CDT September 14, 2001
PASADENA, Texas -- Most Americans, including children, want to show their national pride by wearing the colors of the United States flag -- the red, the white and the blue. But when two Pasadena children wore T-shirts showing their pride, they were told it wasn't appropriate, according to a News2Houston report.
Because today was deemed a national day of prayer and remembrance by President Bush, Desert Storm veteran Donnie Meyer wanted to pass on patriotism to his two daughters. So, he allowed his 7-year-old and 9-year-old to wear T-shirts with the American flag emblazoned on them to school at McMasters Elementary School.
He never thought there would be a problem.
However, the school's principal asked 7-year-old Ashley to change her shirt because it wasn't part of the school's dress code.
The Pasadena Independent School District's assistant superintendent points out that McMasters remembered Tuesday's tragedy during several school programs Friday, and the T-shirt incident was merely a mistake.
The school district maintains that they allow each school to determine their own dress code, but Assistant Superintendent Kirk Lewis said that the Meyer children and other students will be allowed to wear American flags on their shirts on similar occasions like today's remembrances.

I couldn't believe this was possible (when I read the title) but after reading the entire article my heart is heavy with the knowledge that leftists still dominate some businesses. I am just sorry this isn't a business that I could boycott.

Prayers were allowed in school AT ONE TIME so we can only hope the flags remain.

Have you ever seen some of the pathetic looking flags in some of America's classrooms? Tattered, pink, dirty, torn. . . .The pledge is rarely recited and the Star Spangled Banner rarely sung and if sung, the words are usually incorrect. I have noticed that even at special events aired on television some Congress persons can't even mouth the words correctly.

We were suprised that when the House members sung the national anthem that they knew the words... Or maybe they were lip syncing like britney spears ha ha ha.....
With flags in classrooms they are very small where I go to school. About 1 foot by 3 feet long that are about 5 years old.

If someone works in America and is offended by the American flag, why in God's name are they in America?
To: Jeff Gordon Fan
Perhaps it is time for American Flag 101 (History of the flag, how to fly the flag, etc.)to be taught in the schools. The first thing. . .make sure there's a flag in the classroom, secondly that it is large enough to be seen and thirdly that it is in good shape. This should be mandatory! Perhaps it is and we have some districts breaking the law. "When I was in school". . .the pledge was a given.

What's going on in America... Not allowed to have the American flag in the office? I'm glad its still allowed in school...In work, I hang the American flag off my door frame every day ... even before this past Tuesday's tragedy. I've already informed my boss that the day they make a stink about it, is the day I quit. We merged with a German company about two years ago. I'm supposing it's not P.C. to show national pride. I say f**k the P.C. Gestapo.

Forward this article to your e-mail lists. As many Americans as possible should know the identity of this unAmerican company.

Virginia has my admiration.
Missouri schools don't allow God within 1000 yards of the classroom. sarcasm off.
