Sunni Moslems are tolerant. Shiite Moslems are extremists. To say they are all the same would be like saying there is no difference between The Roman Catholic Church (which I belong to) and say Calvinism.

There is nothing but respect for Jews and Christians from Mohammed.

Are you saying the passages from the Koran at the link above don't say what they seem to say?

So it is it okay to slay those who don't believe in the Bible? That makes it more acceptable???

I'm just passing on what I heard. Some people seem to think the Islam thing matters. I wished at the time that Hume would have asked him the question you asked. My personal opinion is that I don't give a hoot why the people that did this did it. They are murderers and they will be dealt with like one should deal with murderers. But under the rules of war. We will not be reading anyone their rights.

Like the Jewish and Christan faiths, Suicide is against God in the Koran too.

"Sunni Moslems are tolerant. Shiite Moslems are extremists."

It is amazing how many of the terrorist were from Sunni Moslem countries. It is still the same Koran with the same call for my subjugation.

That can be done on another thread, but here we're talking about the Koran. Can you show me from the Koran where I'm wrong? So far I haven't seen ANY passages of tolerance.

passages from the Old Testament that call for killing if you choose to do so.

No, because there aren't any. That only happened when God gave specific instructions. There was no blanket immunity like there is in the Koran.

That's a wild claim unless you support it with facts. Explain.

I don't see Pastors, Priest, or Rabbis sending out suicide missions against you. You will know them by their deeds. :)

In the Bible, it is recorded that God told the Israelites to kill the inhabitants of the land because they had committed atrocious acts for many years, not because they refused to accept the teachings He was bringing.

The Koran advocates killing just for not believing. That's a huge difference.

What does the Koran have to say about this?

Expect this thread to be pulled, too. In the meantime, spread the word.

I have a Koran at home (know thy enemy, I say.) In some places they say not to kill someone for rejecting Islam, but they do say to fight for Islam. I think the loophole is that if they consider themselves "attacked" they can fight. Well, this is pretty loose, what do they consider to be an "attack" on Islam? Is declaring that some of their holy sites are now in Jewish hands an "attack"? If they can make a case for this to themselves, they can consider themselves "at war" and after that, it's pretty much no-holds-barred.

There are a LOT of verses going on about how anyone who isn't a believer of Islam will go to hell, but as I said, there are verses that can give the impression you should not kill unbelievers.. However, there are also some that seem to suggest that you can. The one that crops up a lot is 9:29, but apologists like to say that it "only" means atheists and pagans. (I'm an atheist so I don't much appreciate that.) But the loophole, again, is that the verse says specifically to kill those who don't believe in God AND don't hold to his purity laws and covenant. And that pretty much clears them to kill anyone except other muslims and Orthodox Jews who still hold to the Old Testament covenant. Christians are NOT PROTECTED, despite what they like to say. If you believe in the Trinity, you don't believe in ONE GOD, so they can justify killing you if they want to.

You're probably right, but in the meantime have you noticed that none of the defenders of the Koran have posted anything FROM the Koran to support their contention that it's a peaceful religion? Funny, that.

That's a good point.
