All people are equally eligible for the basic human rights, including the right to freely chose one's religion without coercion, for within Islam the space of the "other" is well preserved and protected.
"your return in the end is toward Allah.. He will tell you the truth of the things wherein you disputed." (6:164)
Muhammad said, ``Do not kill women or children or non-combatants and do not kill old people or religious people, Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees and do not poison the wells of your enemies.''
Frankly, the Old Testament (which Islam includes among its holy scriptures) is a far bloodier and gruesome document than the Koran.
