11:03 2001-09-21 In the USA, the main target would appear to be California since five associates of the suicide gang which attacked the WTC had booked flights from Texas to California for next Friday. This plan has now been exposed but there could be others. Security forces are on maximum alert at suppliers of energy, water and gas and bridges, tunnels and railways are being watched.

Outside the USA, the American bases could be at risk. Three illegal immigrants were caught in Detroit with documentation about Incirlik (Turkey) and Alja (Jordan).

Europe braces itself for attack as the security forces are on maximum alert, not least Portugal, which has been described by a retired army general as being a “soft option” for terrorists. The FBI have confirmed that there is information leading to 22nd September “Yes, we have heard something about September 22 but nothing specific. We have information that leads us to believe that there could be more attacks very soon. The same murky sources that indicated something might be happening in the weeks before the attacks have indicated that something may be happening this weekend”, said an unnamed FBI source yesterday.

The Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Robert Graham, said that the WTC and Pentagon strikes were “part of a larger plan with other terrorism acts, not necessarily the hijacking or airplanes”.

With the tightening of security measures, it is hoped that attacks will be foiled before they are set in motion. However, as a Security Police Officer in Lisbon stated: “You can watch the airports, you can check all immigrants, you can hold all suspects, but how can you possibly conduct 100% secure surveillance over a country’s frontiers? If someone really wants to do something, and he is lucky, he’ll do it”.

The Boston FBI let this guy's brother murder informants at will!!!

Aren't the papers that Ashcroft is refusing to turn over to the House related to a Boston mafia case?

Perhaps why Ashcroft won't allow release of the documents to Burton (in that investigation) is because there is some nasty connections between Boston FBI and Boston mafia.

P.S. To all: James Woods, the actor, also informed the FBI a week before the bombing, that the flight he was on (exact same one as one of the ones that was hijacked - only a week previous) had 4-5 middle-eastern-looking men in first class who acted very oddly -- no drinking, no eating, no sleeping. They merely watched the crew intently. Their every move. FoxNews reported this.

More comes out each day.

And more programs, which were already in existence, are announced to the public as if they are brand new ones in response to the attacks, instead of letting the people know that this programs already existed.

Boy in Dallas suburb predicts start of WW III day before attacks

Sept. 19, 2001, 9:26PM

By R.G. RATCLIFFE

Copyright 2001 Houston Chronicle

The day before terrorists attacked New York and Washington, a fifth-grader in a Dallas suburb told his teacher World War III would begin the next day, school officials have told the FBI.

The boy was absent from school the day of the attacks, Sept. 11, and the following day, but has been at school since then, said Rhonda Lucich, a director of elementary education for the Garland Independent School District.

Lucich said the boy approached his teacher on the afternoon of Sept. 10 and casually told her:

"Tomorrow, World War III will begin. It will begin in the United States, and the United States will lose."

Lucich said the child's statements were passed along to the FBI. She said she did not know whether the agency had acted on the tip. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.

Lucich said school officials are concerned, but not alarmed.

"It is one of those things I sincerely want to believe was coincidental," Lucich said.

Lucich declined to name the elementary school involved. She said she was told about the boy's comment by his teacher and the school's principal two days after the Sept. 11 attacks.

She said the boy is multiracial but that she does not believe his ethnicity includes a Middle Eastern background.

U.S. officials believe Middle Eastern terrorists linked to Saudi Arabian exile Osama bin Laden are responsible for last week's attacks on the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.

Garland is a northern suburb of Dallas. Two charities in the neighboring suburb of Richardson have been investigated in the past for possible ties to Palestinian terrorist organizations.

The Global Relief Foundation Inc. and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, both based in Richardson, have been investigated on allegations they raised money for Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization. Both organizations have denied such activity.

excerpt from New York Post artilce dated September 14, 2001 re: atta's age:

While investigators pieced together evidence, two former Florida flight school students were identified by German authorities as terrorists aboard the two planes that smashed into the World Trade Center.

Hamburg investigators said Mohamed Atta, 33, and Marwan al-Shehhi, 23, had studied at the Technical University in Hamburg and had passports from the United Arab Emirates. Both men received pilot training at Huffman Aviation, a flight school in Venice, Fla., where FBI investigators are examining student records.

FBI investigators learned that Atta and al-Shehhi also took two three-hour courses at SimCenter Inc. in Opa-Locka, said Brian George, son of flight school owner Henry George.

Thanks. So Atta would have been around 27 at the time of the OKC bombing in '95. I guess John Doe #2 could have been around that age. Do we know anything about his whereabouts in April '95? When did he go to Hamburg for his studies? When did he graduate from the university in Egypt where he studied?

Some Got Warning: Don't Go Downtown on Sept. 11

Feds say Mid-Easterners knew of the coming danger

By GREG B. SMITH New York Daily News Staff Writer

ederal investigators have received evidence that some Middle Easterners in the New York area were warned ahead of time to stay out of lower Manhattan the morning of Sept. 11, the Daily News has learned.

The FBI was able to confirm several such warnings occurred but has been unable to discover the source of the warnings.

Agents with the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force have interviewed school officials in Jersey City and Brooklyn and questioned members of a Bronx mosque about the warnings, sources told The News.

James Margolin, a spokesman for the FBI's New York office, confirmed that agents were looking into several reports of warnings that preceded the attack against the World Trade Center.

"Among the e-mails and tips we received are a number of reports of people overhearing people boasting about or warning about coming attacks," he said.

Suspicious Comments

He declined to discuss specifics and would not say whether any of the 600-plus people detained in the terror probe were questioned about pre-attack warnings.

But officials and sources familiar with the investigation said the incidents include the following:

Jersey City school administrators confirmed that several days before the attack, a student of Middle Eastern descent issued a vague warning not to travel into lower Manhattan the morning of Sept. 11.

Joanne Kenny, associate superintendent of the Jersey City public schools, said, "Crisis staff determined that comments made or notes written were serious enough so we called the juvenile bureau of the Jersey City police and they followed up."

Sources Not Found

Jersey City police did not return calls seeking comment, but a source said the matter wound up being investigated by the FBI's Joint Terrorist Task Force.

Kenny wouldn't discuss the nature of the warning or reveal the name of the student who made the comment. But a source said federal authorities investigated the matter and could not determine the source of the warning.

"They ran into a dead end, and whoever may have given the warning denied it," the source said.

In the Bronx, federal investigators received reports about a similar warning at a mosque, sources said. The sources would not reveal the name of the mosque.

Sources with the Joint Terrorist Task Force questioned dozens of members of the mosque, many of whom told agents they had been given a vague warning to stay out of lower Manhattan on Sept. 11, sources said.

One source said investigators again hit a dead end when the mosque's hierarchy denied having prior knowledge of the attack.

The source pointed out that in years past, law enforcement had received tips about warnings to stay away from specific locales and of planned attacks that never materialized.

"There's a cry-wolf aspect to this that you need to put this in context," the source said.

At Brooklyn's New Utrecht High School, the FBI was notified that a Pakistani student in a bilingual class "made a comment to a teacher the week prior about the twin towers," said Karen Finney, spokeswoman for the Board of Education.

Finney would not reveal the nature of the comment, but the Journal-News of Westchester reported yesterday that the student pointed at the tower during a heated political argument and declared, "Look at those two buildings. They won't be here next week."

School officials would not release the name of the student, but said he was still attending classes at New Utrecht. They said they notified New York police and that the matter was turned over to the FBI.

"I don't know what the status of the FBI's investigation is," Finney said.

Photographer for The New York Times arrested at ground zero

The Associated Press

1/12/02 12:45 PM

NEW YORK (AP) -- A photographer from The New York Times was arrested at ground zero and charged with criminal trespass, police said.

Edward Keating was arrested Friday evening. Police said he was in the north pit and was seen taking photographs of rescue workers removing victim remains.

Keating had no prior approval to be in the area, and his press card had expired, said Michael O'Looney, deputy commissioner of public information for the NYPD.

The photographer also had a pass that allowed only legitimate workers to be in the area, and authorities were investigating how he got it, O'Looney said.

Times spokeswoman Catherine Mathis said the matter was being looked into. She said Keating had been at ground zero on prior occasions.

Keating was given a desk-appearance ticket and released, police said.

Your link, U.S. Immigration Made Easy is outstanding because it shows just how much subjective judgment can affect visa grants and revocations.

Not only that, but almost anyone can come in for any reason!
