...I even went as far as to say that it spoke well of him until I read the apology....Wow. How magnanimous of you.
Who're you, to judge Falwell's apology? Lurking around the Forum like a bad smell, and jumping in whenever there's a chance to attack a Christian...a sad comedown since the days of 'The Price of Free Corn', OWK.

Not all people calling themselves Christians, are created equal.
It is quite possible to condemn the words of a man who happens to identify himself as a Christian, without condemning all Christians, or all of Christianity.
Can you understand that?

Oh, and your mom called. I told her you weren't spending the night at Tommy's house. You are sooooo busted.

Well you're entitled to your own opinion, if that's the best you can come up with. But frankly, I don't post things based on what other people might think. I like to make up my own mind and express my own thoughts, just like everyone else around here. If they aren't agreed with or liked by everyone, oh well.

What's THAT all about? Lotsa folks think the Maha Rushdie (does he have a different nickname now that this Arab trouble has gone into high gear?) is a limp wimp.

The facts? You mean the fact that because on the plane with the MEN who fought back, hundreds, if not thousands were saved.? We can debate this til the cows come home, it won't change what happened, but people can hopefully learn from it.

Yes.
And it would be wonderful, if every so often, you would direct your energies to some other endeavour than the condemnation of Christians. The way I feel about your posts lately is the way a guitar shop proprietor feels about Stairway to Heaven. How about giving your personal jihad a rest, at least for the duration of this crisis? Because you are capable of better.

Just give it a rest, OWK. You've already proved your selective outrage.
By the bye, let me ask a hypothetical question of an esteemed intellectual giant such as yourself. A T.V. network producer wants to do a comedy on the hapless Islamic terrorists and the antics of soot-covered and bloodied day-traders as they stumble down darkened stairwells. There's an outrage. The vast majority of people think that's a terrible injustice to be making a buck off of mass murder, and ask the producer to reconsider. He refuses, and thinks he's got a smart product and there's tons of interest, albeit outraged interest. Millions will be tuning in to see the comedic routines, and millions will be hurt emotionally and psychologically by it. Does the T.V. producer have a right to have his comedy show shown? And the vast majority have no right to ban this obscene production? Remember: This is a mere one week after the untold thousands of Americans were murdered in cold blood. Does the Bishop of Libertarianology who calls for unity side with the T.V. producer? Or with the vast majority of patriotic Americans?

A false doctrine cannot be refuted because it is,of course, based on the conviction that false is true. But one can, may, and indeed must, again and again, stress the opposite truth.....Maxim 119 J.W. von Goethe And the problem is, "Is this a false doctrine?" :)

And the reason we should care to listen to your opinion of Christianity is __________________?
