The reality is that what we require is a measured and directed response. Harsh and devastating, yes. Efficient in identifying and removing our deadly enemies, yes. Our president has announced that we are in a state of war, and that he has authorized our forces to act under the Acts of War. When we went to DEFCON and the president had to evacuate the Wite House, we automatically went into WAR MODE. You really should read some of the Presidental Orders written over the last few years.

The congress has announced that we are in a state of war and has voted to support it financially and with special powers that they have granted the president to use. He is now authorized by the congress to act as under a state of war.
