OOOOOooh no...that thought is horrid..a mole...jeez I hope not..

That knowledge of code words, presidential whereabouts and possession of secret procedures indicates that the terrorists may have a mole in the White House that, or informants in the Secret Service, F.B.I., F.A.A. or C.I.A. It's nice to know that all the CTs are not here on FR! This is just what our enemy likes, instilling a lack of trust in our own ranks.

If this story is true, we have a
serious problem. I thought it very curious how all of the New York-based commentators complained ysterday and today about Bush's absence--almost as if someone made the suggestion to them.
I don't think most Americans cared where Bush was as long as he was safe, quite frankly.

More to the point, how did they get the code-word information and transponder know-how that established their mala fides? That's easy. They got it from the Chinese (perhaps via Pakistan)who got it straight from the Clinton White House, along with all our other secrets.
Maybe they really have kept the planes grounded to keep Clinton out of the country! ;^)

Another Clinton leak is showing.

No one I know, (including a liberal) saw anything wrong with the President delaying a return to Washington. These idiots are trying to create doubts and an issue. Luckily, a vast majority of Americans would rather the President be safe than rush back to D.C.

It would be stupid to go to DC when Cheney was already there- why put all the eggs in one basket? The country can run itself for quite some time as we saw in the budget 'shutdown' years back, but Congress would never admit it because their fragile egos couldn't take it. There's nothing Bush could have done in Washigton that he couldn't do from AF1.

This is beyond belief. I am sitting just less than a mile from the burning mush of lower manhattan. Every two hours I have my mother on the phone from Texas crying her mascura off on the phone with me. My fiance by a miracle and a whim of her whackiness decided to go upstate to see her mother to buy a wedding dress out of the blue instead of going to work this week and getting out of the subway at the same time of the first airliner hit at the World Trade Center.
I am still waiting for word from friends. The people I know that I know are alive in the city have left. I walk alone in the empty streets with a surgical mask on. I see humvees with big black guns on their roofs. I am scared.
Pray for us...

"Mole in the White House"?
Quite clearly, someone from the Clinton White House.
More than likely, a depressed, vengeful Algore?
To: Pokey78
No doubt the mole is a holdover from the last administration. Bush should have fired everyone who worked for Clinton on Inaugural Day.

These idiots are trying to create doubts and an issue. Maybe. But if the above is true, someone tried to assasinate the president. Why not wage a PR campaign against him as well?
Have you noticed the extraordinarily large number of ex-Clinton officials who have been interviewed by the networks? I saw a very interesting exchange tonight between Warren Christopher and Sandy Berger. Christopher said he wasn't buying the Osama story--it seemed too pat. Berger went out of his way to say Bin Laden could do this on his own. Last night, I saw the same thing happen in an interview with Tom Clancy and Berger.
I am beginning to believe we have traitors inside our government who wanted to see this happen. And I seriously doubt those traitors care very much about Osama Bin Laden. He is just a means to an end.

The mole in the White House is now a Senator from New York.

The Chinese probably got all that stolen equipment from our EP-3 up and running. Now they can hear the President on the can.

"A vast majority of Americans would rather the President be safe"
I'm not sure how vast. But certainly not the Bolsheviks who cried when Slick Willie's team left. Every one of them from Brokaw to Jennings to Rather to Russert to Dashle to McAuliffe to Gephart, etc., etc. cannot even disguise their visceral hatred of Dubya.

I can't imagine the horroe you are living through at this time. Just know that there are untold thousands of us thinking of you and all who are witness (first hand) to the insanity of the last days. I pray for you to have the strength you will need to get through the coming days, weeks and months. God bless all of you.

Has there been any mention of the Bush twins? I would imagine they were jerked out of class and taken to a secure place immediately.

I'd hate to venture a line of thought in connection with this but if William Safire's speculation about a well placed mole is right, could the terrorists who took out the World Trade Center and tried to hit the White House and make an attempt on the life of the President Of The United States as he was in the Flyin' WH aka AF-1, have had inside assistance in furthering their plans? I don't think its true but if it were its chilling to consider we'd have a traitor to our country inside our own government helping its enemies against it.
