I said nothing about non-intervention, which unrealistic in day and age, I just said we need to reconsider our policies.

WWII was a necessary fight also, so stop trying to put words in my mouth.

We now have a policy that has motivated a dozen or more kooks to have complete disregard for thier own lives and the lives of others.

We are motivating extremists to act in that manner, all I'm saying is we need to reconsider how our actions affect thier attitude towards us as a nation.

And no matter how many precations we take we cannot effectively defend against those who are willing to die for thier own cause.

A matter resolved by violence is never truly resolved, IMO, it will create further animosity, and desire for bloodshed...

Vengeance must be swift.

Swift, but not reckless. I would rather wait a few days, or even weeks, if it meant that when we struck, it was against the correct targets and with a thorough plan for complete military victory.

As you now know, this was delivered this morning about 11:00am or so...I have been watching speeches by Senators and Representatives of the House, and the word "WAR" has come out of the mouth of almost every single one. They are going to vote on a JOINT RESOLUTION at 2:00...(or they are going to start on it) I do believe that before the day is over, we will have changed this from an "act of terror" to a "Act of War against the United States of America" which gives the President pretty much all the resources he needs to do what he needs to do. And this is important. Because I think if he gets a declaration of war from the US Congress, those responsible will be hit hard.

Still think he is in hiding and not doing anything?

Let's see, this is his third public statement in 26 hours, and someone is accusing him of hiding? Unbelievable.

America needs to begin a series of military actions that will lead to the complete and utter destruction of anything associated with the Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban. If that means leveling everything in Afghanistan, so be it! If that means battling other terrorist groups, or even Saddam Hussan again, then so be it.

If terrorists think they can get away with these cowardly attacks on America, then they will attack us again and again and again. Its time to make a stand for freedom and the American way of life, and begin "The War" that will stop these butchers, once and for all.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

A friend of mine proposed a chilling scenario which unfortunately I think will be our likely response. If - and that's still a big if - Islamic fundamentalists are shown to be responsible for this outrage, Bush will attack and destroy a weak link - Afghanistan - while leaving uinscathed the true sources of their power, claim victory, and then force Israel into a humiliating settlement with the Palestinians in the name of world peace and cheap oil. Shades of Neville Chamberlain.

But still, that's a bunch of talk. What's he going to do?

You want him to tell our enemies how he is going to destroy them so they can avoid it?

Bush is so much better than you think. He always plays his cards very close to his chest. He is very savvy. And when his cards go down, he has got a winning hand or bluffed his opponents into dropping out.
The man once spent a couple years scrambling for the U.S. Air Force as part of the Texas Air National Guard. He knows how and when to fire missile interceptor rockets.
When the play goes down, the only questions you will have will be asking how he managed to do it. And he often won't say, in case he needs to use that play again in the future.

Think again fod, it's not our policies that caused this it's their belief tha we are "the Great Satan". We do not share their beliefs and that is the root of the problem. We are not the one's going around saying some one should die simply because they don't share the same religious beliefs. These people are fanatics to the point of having no reason. You can't appease them, bargain with them, or buy them off. We should base our policies on what makes them feel better about themselves...give me a freakin' break!

I just wanted him to say something like what McCain (yes, McCain) said. "God may have mercy on you, but we won't." Oh well, I understand that he has to play his cards close, and I have faith and trust in him. Trust me, I do not underestimate Bush, as I suspect some do. And it will be their undoing.
