Both borders are extremely open. Coming in and out of the US is far too casual, no identification is needed.
It has been observed that the northern border is as dangerous to the welfare of this nation as the southern ..

Did you cathch my terminology? That is how it is viewed here..not as the interenational travel it is..but rather like a ride into the next town
We have taken a non citizen across the border with us.(from Africa). He forgot his papers..and we didnt realize it untill we were at "customs".He has a very thick accent,and we were concerned..but he just didnt say anything..and the Canadian customs agent didnt address him...neithor did the American agent as we returned.
What struck us about that is he obviously didnt "fit " our family..as we are white..but no questions asked.
We have been told that you should always have proof of citizenship when we cross..but the truth is we never do..we are after all just visiting our" neighbor to the north"
Don't ya wonder how many non citizens come here for a visit and never go back?
