Baylor - I knew that. CINO... Christian in Name Only... I know, I know, that's a broad generalization...
Good luck at the protest, you guys BE CAREFUL! I'm afraid it might turn ugly. Seriously, be careful. Ya'll will be in my prayers.

Thx, will check it out. My boy is not going to be too rowdy, I'm sure. I think. Well, maybe...

76 responses and nobody got the right answer...you want a Christian university, with an excellent academic program and excellent college football tradition...anyone? anyone? Notre anyone? anyone? yes the University of Notre Dame, class. Yes, why settle for the University of Spoiled Children when you can have it all! Hands down best education at a Catholic university with an excellent athletic program. And the Irish own USC in football. :-)

U Dallas, no, but we will. Thx.

U Richmond, sounds like a nice place if it's still a good school. Will look into it, thx.

Three years ago hurt pretty bad too. But you did us a favor. That sealed Blake's fate. Not sure I'm ready to talk smack about this year yet. We looked unfocused and undisciplined against North Texas. K State should answer many questions.
It may sound surprising to you, but most of us Sooners are more afraid of Applewhite. Simms will probably grow into the job though.

Actually, he'd probably love Notre Dame. Could he get in grade-wise?

May I suggest Trinity in San Antonio.
Or the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Or St. John's in Santa Fe, NM and Annapolis, MD.
All academically first rate.
Have you considered the service academies? They also meet your criteria, to a tee.

Uof Richmond just came out on top (again) #1 in Southern U's in Newsweak or US News....and been there for years
Just don't know if its still as conservative. At any rate I would bet its much more conservative then most.
Good luck....

And the Irish own USC in football. I'll be right back.....

Don't get me started - Applewhite is THE MAN. I mention his name in the same category as Joe Montana - the guy can instantly read defenses better than any college q-back I've ever seen. But, I guess I'm supposed to support Simms. Boy, they're keeping him (Simms) on a tight, conservative leash thus far.
Regards.

Trinity, U of the South, I've heard both are strong schools. We'll look at 'em. Thanks!

The Citadel, discipline reigns supreme.

If I had to choose among the four OU and UT QB's, Applewhite would be my starter. But what do I know, I'm not a coach.
Note Ted how this thread has turned into a OU/UT and USC/ND discussion. Maybe your son should just choose a football or basketball school and sort out the education when he gets there. :)
To: arkfreepdom
Sports thread - my fault. I can't help it...
