It's fun to celebrate Bush, because he's a politically savvy President, a decent man, and someone who can get things done. I don't expect him to save the world -- that's God's job -- but he's a great guy and I'm glad he's in the White House.
Yeah, Hewlitt-Packard and Compaq have just layed off several thousand prune-pickers.
But, I'm beginning to wonder. Maybe we should take note of the way Bush operates. With all the attacks against him, he doesn't fight back, he doesn't bicker, there are no snide remarks from the White House about the assaults from the Democrats.
What he does do is put his energies into moving his agenda and keeps on plugging along. He out-foxes, he works with people on an issue they have common interest in, he works on the things on his agenda and does not allow them to sidetrack him. I was amazed how he handled the election. During all the fighting, he was off on his ranch preparing for the presidency. Such faith and confidence.
He does not spend time with the arguing, point/counterpoint, what he does is move forward an inch at a time and pretty soon he has left them scratching their head - what happened?
Maybe we should try some of this. Put our efforts on the agenda instead of those trying to take up our time holding us back. We then would just leave the liberals, the naysayers in the dust still complaining while we join Bush in getting some good things done.
In doing this, when we look back, we will see where our efforts have led us - either further in our goals to fight liberalism and socialism or still daily fighting over every perceived complaint over what Bush has not done or what damage he has done. At least with the efforts against liberalism we have a great chance of succeeding in many of them. In the efforts with the complainers - we will be in the same place still arguing over the current bad move by Bush both sides out of the picture wrestling on the sidelines.
Just like in November, huh?
Sadly, Democrat party and 1% party losers act out their jealousy and hate on this forum.
It's pretty easy to spot the kids and hacks, thankfully.
It sure is.
We have been blessed with a good and decent man who loves this country and all the people (even the 1%ers) and is moving forward with a positive agenda. Getting bogged down in these arguments doesn't help. So, I am working hard at my business so that I can earn extra money to send to good candidates like Bret Schundler, writing letters to papers and television netwowrks to let them know that I support the President, and I am praying for his success and safety every day.
These people who are so unhappy lead lives that must be quite unpleasant. I am not dealing with them except in the case of when they post an outright lie. In that case I will refute with documentation.
As Bush commented to a person in a receptionist line who approached him, shook his hand and said something rude and non-supportive to him, "Who cares what you think" (hopefully in a very gracious manner with a cute grin).
We can be effective, we just need to put our energies where they are not wasted. This is a real problem for me since I am totally addicted to FR.
And what purpose would you be trying to serve by continuously bashing President Bush?
Are you trying to weaken his support so that your candidate can defeat him in four years?
Are you trying to weaken his support so that he is in a weaker bargaining position vis a vis the Democrats on legislation?
Or are you just an immature little loser whose trying to say "I told you so" because you were one of the 1/2% who actually believed that your vanity candidate was really running for President?
As President Bush continues to succeed in moving the conservative agenda forward it will only get worse for you. I will enjoy watching you suffer while the conservative community celebrates.
