I share your sentiment, but amending the Constitution is a seriously daunting task.

Let them create their own downfall, or 'falling down", from their own actions in a scale they really do not fully understand or appreciate until it's too late for them to do anything about it. Political aikido as it were.
Exactly. And I felt the same way with the Condit issue by asking whether or not it was wise for us to so loudly call for his resignation instead of letting his Dem counterparts twist in the wind about it.
As it stands, they waited until the interview debacle, then found it safe to lash out against him.
We dropped the political ball on this one.
I sure hope that the GOP gets it right on the reparations issue.

Correct assessment. What could be better for the Right than a fight between the thousands of special interests that make up the Democrat Party? We must make one of their constituent groups a millstone about their necks.

The Senate would be inappropriate in Democrat control. The House on the other hand. . . You're right. Unfortunately, while my Senators (Smith & Gregg) are pretty good, my Rep (Bass) is a bit of a wuss. He probably wouldn't have the stones to introduce such a resolution. Any idea who would?
Would Bob Barr go for this? Ron Paul? Any other ideas? Let's pick some likely candidates and suggest this to them. Send them lots of mail.

You've been preaching to the choir all along. The problem is that when the Democrats demand $8T in reparations, the Republicans will cower and scurry, then regroup to say that $8T is an outrage and that the number should be $4T, and not a penny more.

Given our history in dealing with Dems, I must agree with you. However, if an approach like this were taken, and taken soon, then reparations would be killed forever.
Will the Republicans do this? I don't know. But I can hope.

Your absolutely right - If this issue comes to the forefront it will doom the democrats. Yea Yea Oh Yea... Got to love it.

Your wrong wrong and wrong again. The only people who support this are the fringe left and 80% of blacks. Hispanics, Asians, and union blue collars would never support this. This is the biggest winner for Pubs since Lincoln..

I think your analysis is correct.
