Hi jigsaw
I love Rochester and Buffalo
I'm still in love with the beautiful countryside of NY State
I love the Southwest where I live now
but there are no lakes
I love swimmin' in lakes
In Ithaca, you'll have the wonderful Finger Lakes
NYC is a terrific big city
but I don't want to live in a big city again
(I stayed in NYC too long)
Love, Palo

SouthwestAirlines flies from Islip to Buffalo via Baltimore.
I can avoid a post-Giuliani cesspool totally, and the need for shoe covers and biohazard suits!

Southern Oregon wants to break away from Northern Oregon. Northern California want to break away from Southern California. Everything in New York that isn't NYC wants to break away....... Well, I guess it's universal. The Red area wants to break away from the Blue area. The Blue area, meantime wants only to rule everything since they realize the Red areas supply the FOOD. Here's to secession!

Here, here!

I lived in Sheepshead Bay for years! On Ford St & E.26th between Y & Z
and for about two years in Manhattan Beach, on Hastings St. right off Oriental Blvd.
I loved living in the area.
I used to walk from Ford St. & Emmons Ave. up Emmons to the train station on Sheepshead Bay Road to go to work every day in nice weather.
In later years, our boat was docked right off Gerritson Beach.
The Bay is beautiful, it always had that old world feeling to it. And, how about Joe's Clambar? Another Sicilian from NY living in NJ
To: jigsaw
thanks for sending me regards from my old stompin' grounds
Right now I'm not wild about any politician
I was totally inspired by the courageous trustworthy Impeachment Managers
I thought when we got George in -- we'd continue from the high plateau they pioneered
I'm happer on the FReepathon thread than the political threads right now
Love, Palo

I never went to Joe's clam bar, but I have fond memories of going out on the party boats out of Sheepshead Bay.
I remember going to the Sicilian Focciarias in Bensonhurst on Avenue U.
Now THAT"S soul food!
To: persecutor
YEAH! The one on Lake St and Avenue U!!
You are right. True Sicilian Soul Food.
My husband still makes emergency food pit stops in Brooklyn when he is passing through and if I am real good I get goodies from that place. Oh, here we go, we live for food!

Here's one last-I have to go to work, and I'm late! bump!

Hi, Just wanted to let you know I just donated on the server. It's not much but my husband & I are in a severe crisis. I hope to contribute more later. I'd also like to offer my time and ability on the lawsuit--I'm a lawyer & member of the bar of Colorado. I'll send Jim Robinson an email describing how I can help if he needs it. Julie

Think I'm gonna get a nice piece of sopresata, some olives, a nice loaf of crusty, seeded bread and some nice tomatoes and have a feast at lunch.
That is living large in my book.

Good morning bump to ya'll.
It's a big day in Texas, though cuisine is not at the top of the list today. Several of us are meeting in Waco to do a recon for the Reno freep next week. We're trying to figure out where we should set up "shop" there.
Without Free Republic, there would be no freep of anyone--and all the dim boogers would still be thinking that they are universally loved.
Please contribute to keep FR up and running.

Hi sweethearts
I better walk Lulu (my basset hound) now
while it's still cool
I'll be back in a little
(Tucson is still ''enjoying'' 105 degree heat FOFL)

We all give what we can. Hope all works out! Thanks.

It is not the amount, dollars all add up, it is the thought that counts.
Thank you and good luck with your crises.
