Good evening grannie, I've just been doing my good samaritan work with my ladies. But now that I got them all settled down I can sneak a few minutes to check the proceedings.

In half an hour I'll have to exercise them as they will be clamouring for walkies. :)

California has groups trying to split it into three. Babylon, Sie Habla Espanol, and, then, a state for those of us who don't fit into 'normal' American society.

LOL!   Many years ago when I spoke to my Congresscritter about splitting NY he replied that when he was in the NY Assembly some upstaters apparently submitted a bill to do just that...although they did so knowing it'd go no where.

NY is like a constipated model:   beautiful but doesn't run well.

In keeping with the center annoucement at the top of the forum page, I would heartily recommend future posts begin with the words, 'FreeRepublic Fundraiser' - and follow with other appropriate text, such as ' - IMPORTANT, Your help needed!' and thread count etc.

This may help bring eyes that might not 'get it' otherwise...

Got to pack some of the daughter's stuff, friends will be picking up boxes, they will be in town on short notice.
