For those who believe that conservatism can best be advanced within the Republican Party, Schundler would be the poster child for how it can be achieved.

I couldn't agree more. Apparently McGreevy has only agreed to two debates and Sean Hannity (who will have him on his radio show on Thursday) will try to arrange a third. Once the public hears Schundler's message, I'm confident his poll numbers will rise.

Bret needs to organize his campaign and make sure volunteers are not ignored and are utilized to best advantage.

He also needs to meet the people in person more. One of his trump cards is his magnetic personality, especially on a one-to-one level, but the larger the group he is trying to win over, the harder it is to play this card. Unfortunately, the summer is now over, and with it the opportunity to show up at big outdoor events. He has to focus on meeting as many people as he can face to face. He should concentrate on whatever events there still are. Street fairs, whatever. He should try to meet them and shake their hand before their minds are completely made up.

I agree. I met Bret Schundler down the shore at a beach party a few weeks ago. I got to talk alone with him for a few minutes. In addition to other things, I mentioned that his campaign was not responding to volunteers. He stated he would look into it, and that there would certainly be a need for help as the election drew closer. Hopefully, they are formulating a plan, but a simple response to that effect would be nice.

I also told him what a thrill it is to have the opportunity to actually vote for a bona fide conservative in NJ. He laughed and was very gracious. He also told me that he was very confident that he would win. I hope he’s right.

I'm delighted that the TriState Chapter is planning to get more involved in Schundler's campaign...will send my donation along ASAP and am available with notice to help out...Brett should be concentrating heavily on education and the parkway tolls/ car insurance issues.
