A good warning. Vehicle use should not be dependent on connection to the Internet.
I don’t like the whole kill switch thing the police want to use.
Dims are often stealing ideas from Russia while simultaneously pretending they hate Russia.
I’ll bet Garage54 could fix it.
There are lots of times when vehicles cannot connect to satellite systems, such as when they are in a tunnel, or perhaps underground parking.
It would be stupid to have them become unusable in such situations.
This is the dream of every democRAT/DemoKKKrats. Immobilize the masses. Stay where you are and take what we determine you "need."
In the Soviet Union, you needed "papers" to leave your small area. Train, bus, bicycle or walking. If you did not have your "papers" you were not going anywhere. If there wasn't enough to eat in your area.... Oh Well.*
The dirty BIG secret was that the USSR did not provide "papers" to a huuuuge portion of the people.
Just ask the Ukrainians about food. Netsearch for yourself the Holodomor, also known as the Ukrainian Terror Famine.
An incredibly brave man, Gareth Jones, traveled to the Ukraine in the 1930s. He witnessed the forced starvation of millions. Millions more were simply relocated.
“Vehicle use should not be dependent on connection to the Internet.”
They aren’t.
Self-driving cars have an issue:

A great shame in world history.
...
I read a response to your post, and hadn’t rolled down to see the poster.
The post response was so asinine and trolling that I knew without looking that it was made by the perennial FR ass and troll, TexasGaytor/CandyFloss.
And SURE ENOUGH...
“Self-driving cars have an issue:”
A 15 minute traffic jam in SF over two years ago.
How many since?
Forget it - the Gaytor is a troll, looking for a response for the dopamine hit [your response].
Don’t give The Gaytor his dopaminegasm by responding.
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
“Don’t give The Gaytor his dopaminegasm by responding.”
Eleven years living in your head rent free.
Why do you allow that?
Wait until Russia cut off the internet sometime in April - firm date not announced yet.
Hello TG,
Just a note to see how you are and express appreciation for your posting.
Keep up the good work, sir.
Kudos.
Grok: The mandate takes effect for all new vehicles manufactured starting in 2026, with NHTSA finalizing details soon.
IOW if you need a new car or truck you better get it now...I did.
“I’ll bet Garage54 could fix it.”
Of course he could. He would gang ten chain saw engines together and get you on the road.
