It’s a shame what he’s had to go through. Good on Trump for doing the right thing.
7 years would indicate a pretty high $ value was asserted?
Must have failed to pay kickbacks to the Dems.
If charges were brought by the filthy rotten dirty and utterly corrupt Biden team of scoundrels then that qualifies for a thorough examination by prudent and honest investigators right there. And that goes for anyone charged of anything by them.
That’s how filthy their politics are and everyone knows it.
Do we know if this guy was false accused or not?
If it isn’t obvious this is the case, then it could be yet another straw that breaks the back of the 2026 mid-terms.
People on FR seem deaf to the issues of unemployment and inflation and housing prices out in the real world.

When wealthy fraudsters get a pass, there is no 'rule of law.'
From what I’ve read, this guy defrauded a lot of people. Some of them are now penniless. I’d like to understand the reason for this pardon.
While the fund did disclose that new money might be used to pay pre-existing investors, the meat of the fraud was false reporting, which drew in those new investors, and might have caused existing investors to remain invested or add new funds. If Trump doesn’t know this guy personally, so wants to give him a mulligan, someone in Trump’s circle may have influenced the decision, either due to personal connections or for cash.

Except as per Karoline Leavitt the DOJ was unable to substantiate even one incidence of fraud at trial. When the situation was investigated by Trump’s pardon team they found clear weaponization of the justice system.
The company clearly communicated to the investors that part of the return was going to come from capital. They further explained the ramification of that course for the investors. The clear record of those communications and information given to the investors underpins the President’s decision to commute the sentence.
It is wrong for people here to assume all charges and convictions brought under Biden’s DOJ must be a result of corruption.
A list of Trump’s pardons and the like can be found here,

It makes for interesting reading. Wish I had more background on the reasoning for the pardons.

And to top that off, here are a couple of more pardons that people will have to explain away.
Trump to pardon ex-Honduras president convicted of drug trafficking tons of cocaine
Karoline Leavitt explained the second in today’s press conference.
Don’t compare Tina Peters to this man.
Tina Peters was convicted on state charges in Colorado. President Trump lacks the authority to pardon someone not in the Federal system.
I did read about the investments the investors agreed to put their money into and they were high risk. I don’t know what they were thinking.
All they have to do is take her in for whistleblower protection. Not my opinion, constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes post was posted on that thread. Simple enough.
I am comparing pardons of those who do something patriotic and those who do something wrong and the speed of such pardons.
