A pertinent question is whether or not University enrollments are (or were, recently) at maximum capacity. At my old school, they are still way down: less than HALF of enrollment when I was there, and that’s after some recent increases.
Hunting around the web, it appears the “top” universities are pretty full, but “state” and regional universities are often down (but usually not by half!)
Cost is flat out through the roof, but, obviously that predated Trump.
USA’s demographics say we have to “import” somebody. Given that, we might as well import smart people.
Now, if you can get our young lady citizens to pop out more babies, that’d be better, but VERY few countries in demographic declines have succeeded at that. :-(
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. IT professionals and those with IT degrees are currently seeking IT jobs, particularly those in entry-level positions or those looking to transition into specialized areas.
The estimated number of U.S. engineering professionals or those holding an engineering degree applying for engineering jobs at any given time would be in the hundreds of thousands, encompassing both experienced professionals seeking new roles and recent graduates entering the workforce. This figure is a dynamic sum of the approximately 2 million engineers currently employed in the U.S. across various disciplines, plus the tens of thousands of new graduates each year, all of whom are potential applicants for the diverse engineering roles available.
The number of U.S. individuals actively applying for medical jobs at any point in time is likely in the hundreds of thousands annually, encompassing new graduates, residents seeking attending positions, and experienced professionals seeking new opportunities.
