This is on the Republicans. They couldn’t come up with someone better that Sliwa? The guy is a characture. Not one business guy? Bloomberg ran initially as a republican because even then, the dem party was too far left. He was mayor for 12 years. And a decent one for like 9 of those.
This is a total abject failure of republican leadership.

At this point in time, it would appear that Sliwa withdrawing and throwing support to Cuomo is the only way to stop MadMani.
If they had RCV in the general election then voters who wished to could vote Sliwa 1 and then Cuomo 2. But with the system they have a vote for Sliwa is wasted.
Sliwa voters will stay home and not vote for Evil Eyes Andrew Cuomo. Mamdani took millions in foreign money. The only hope is that Elise Stefanik is the next Governor and fires Mamcommie when she gets in. Yes the Governor of NY can fire the mayor on NYC.

Agreed. I bet you a dollar the Cuomo people are talking to the Sliwa people about a prominent position in the Cuomo administration. It worked well for Trump in the election and even better in administration.
