We can't import drugs from other countries? When did this happen??
So...will the cost for my OZ be halved or more??
Exactly how do you reduce prices by 300% or more?
It is a national security risk to not produce our own critical meds, so that’s probably one of the best tariffs Trump has introduced. (Too bad he may have blown up his tariffs power by trying to use it as a form of sanctions.)
News conference just wrapped up, this is not socialism.
Guess you didn’t read it
Woohoo, FREE drugs for everyone!
It is not socialism in this instance-it is risk management. As a naturalist, I don’t take any drugs-but I don’t like the idea of any of my friends/relatives who do taking something made in China or some other unfriendly country. Drugs from China, etc have become a security risk since they sent us Covid. We need to manufacture our own meds here in the US-it is far safer...
Ummmmmmm....if you reduce the price of something by 100%, wouldn't that make it free?
And if you reduce it by 300%, wouldn't you get twice as much back as you paid for it?
Okay....curious to see how this works.
Okay....curious to see how this works.
It is not the first time that he has used percentages in a weird way
Maybe it’s meant to be more along the lines of a percentage difference?
The difference between what the evil Pharmaceutical company sells to those not Americans vs what Americans will now get to see as their price. (?)
With the premise being Americans have been getting raped by evil Pharmaceutical companies selling the same drug for a far far far more affordable price to non Americans.
I’m happy that the drug prices will be lower.
The info given wasn’t clear to me in some ways.
When drug prices are reduced — some starting as early as this week — will that be for ALL Americans?
The word, “MedicAID”It was mentioned. In a way it sounded like the Americans who will benefit are on MedicAID. Translation: We taxpayers will still be footing the bill...?
The Trump Plan ... Is that for everyone?
I thought the presser was rather poorly done when it came to clear explanations. Probably that’s just me, as my attention was divided.
People in Europe and Canada were paying about $125 per month for the exact same drug from the same pharmacy company.
The drug has just went off patent and generic equivalents are about $55 per month. That may give a little insight into the price structure in the pharma industry.
I love it!
The Democrats can't complain about it after a decade of "ObamaCare."

Amazon Pharmacy is the best secret out there! I'm not sure why they don't promote it, but maybe that's why?
Bkmk
Aside from the safety issues with that, what makes you think that US-based pharma companies would sell enough OUS, for them to come back to the US at a cost that's detrimental to them?
