As a PA voter, I’m liking Fetterman more and more. He’s willing to work with Republicans for the good of the country (sometimes).
Don’t be impressed until his vote actually matters. He has never gone against the rats when it would have made any difference
“”As a PA voter, I’m liking Fetterman more and more. He’s willing to work with Republicans for the good of the country (sometimes).””
He is willing to make it “”appear”” as it he is willing to work with Republicans for the good of the Fetterman. He is hedging his bets, playing both sides, and effectively showing that he can’t be trusted... by either side. (just my humble opinion)
I actually liked him better ‘pre-stroke’... when he was uglier, more leftist and at least being more honest about who he was. Trust him at your own peril.

Somehow the Republic survived.
It is time for a big yawn.
Fetterman is a snake oil salesman. Better to know that upfront when dealing with him.
Murkowski is NOT a centrist. Taints the whole dam article as not believable because of that whopper.
Is there a downside to a shutdown?
Rand Paul voted WITH the democrats against a Trump backed bill.
He voted against the big government spending
He has done it for the last 15 years. Never changed.
I find it commendable.
While we are fighting an asymmetric civil war, Rand stands against us on top of his narcissistic principles. Rand and MurCowski are both quislings to patriotic Americans. I would ask them to pick a side, but it seems they already have.
But you know he’s done the same thing since 2010 no matter who is in power
He’s not doing it because he is anti Trump
Principles
I am so tired of hearing about government shut down this government shut down that… It happens every few months and nothing ever changes. Shut the damn thing down already, let’s see what happens
“”Fetterman is a snake oil salesman. Better to know that upfront when dealing with him.””
I tend to agree with that.
Only 89% continue working as "essential"?
Paying back pay is no savings at all. ONLY without non-production being no-cost will the useless spending be reduced.
So you find it commendable and a good thing, to block Trump's agenda then, too
“Is there a downside to a shutdown?”
Just ask the military or Border Patrol. A couple days of shutdown is disruptive but not a huge handicap. After that once all the civilian supply and logistics functions have completely shut down, there is no resupply, no spare parts, no equipment repairs above field level. For border patrol there is no vehicle maintenance, no dispatch, no logistics etc. all those positions are civilian and categorized as non essential.
If Randy is looking for a headline, sucking up to Schumer may do the trick.
The shutdown could have been known as the Schumer shutdown.
Could be Chuckie may have to share the bill with the “McCain” Mavericks.
“NO WORK, NO PAY.”
LOL the geniuses who got rid of telework made sure that nobody will work during a shutdown. They couldn’t even if they wanted to. I worked through three of them back in the day and you would be surprised at how many government employees worked at home during shutdowns (even though they were not supposed to). I saw a lot of that at DOD where the mindset among many employees was that the Warfighters needed us to do what we could, shutdown or not.
