“Flamingo cruise missiles”
Stamped “Made in USA”.
Because what was once a center of Soviet arms manufacturing could never make anything themselves, right?
Doink? Who other than Marcus uses that word? Or are you this colleague or lover?
Nah, they have been talking about these things for the past few weeks.
They started making them earlier in the year, with hopes of getting production up to a couple hundred a week.
My guess is they have a bunch stockpiled now and will start firing them deeper into Russia.
“the attack was carried out with Flamingo cruise missiles, correcting earlier claims cited by media that it was Neptune missiles”
More Ukrainian propaganda. They’re winning though.
I don’t believe it. All this time we supplied them and now all of a sudden they have tooled out to manufacture? Nope, I do not believe it. They are just repainting ours...
I don’t care what they say...
Colleague.
Go back to looking at pictures of flabby, shirtless Putin..
Do you realize how ironic your handle is in the context of that post?
I happen to know something of satellite recon.
I have examined the photos associated with this event.
The weapon is claimed to have a 1000 kg warhead or 2200 lbs.
Just 1000 lbs of explosives will have a blast radius of about 1/2 mile. This weapon is said to be 2X that.
The photos show at most some damage to two isolated helicopters, with others parked not so very far away in both a week ago photo and an Aug 30 photo. Unless they left pre impact and returned post impact, this is all not possible. They show no sign of damage.
If there was an event, this looks like typical 5 lbs of drone explosive.
Begging because of dependency on us for years, and now all of a sudden they are independent? They could have done that years ago if this is true...
So Occam’s Razor dictates the obvious, it IS NOT true...
One that site one reads, "Welcome to www.aerotime.aero (hereinafter – the “Site”), the website, which is operated by AeroTime (UAB “AviationCV.com”), a legal entity code of which is 302615625, address Dariaus ir Girėno g. 21, Vilnius Lithuania
Isn't it interesting how many sites in this time write for English-reading public? Of course, there are only "2.8 million native Lithuanian speakers in Lithuania and about 1 million speakers elsewhere." And the site is supposedly about the "aviation and aerospace industry."
And now war reporting as well. Because it is East Baltic "English language" news....
“The photos show at most some damage to two isolated helicopters, with others parked not so very far away in both a week ago photo and an Aug 30 photo.”
Sounds like you may have confused the separate recent strike on Saky Airbase in Crimea, with the Flamingo missile strike on the FSB facility referred to in this thread. No helicopters involved in this strike - buildings and hovercraft.
I looked at the photos from the links.
They were presented as the results. They do not show anything like that.
