I tend to agree with you. The people in hellholes like Chicago need help. But the Founders put the 10th Amendment in the Bill of Rights for a reason. The Federal government should not have unlimited power to intervene in state problems.
Chicago today is a mess. But it’s also a city and state problem. It would become a federal problem when there is uncontrolled mass rioting, with gangs battling each other in the streets.
As bad as Chicago is, we aren’t there yet.
