Correct.
Exactly.
Well said.
Sorry Zooker didn’t mean to trigger you probably should go to your safe room and clutch you pearls
It’s called self-deprecating humor, Pastor, Bless your heart. If you insist on taking every word he says literally, you will be forever tormented.
A lot of Christians are in bondage to being under the law rather than under grace.
We are saved not by our works, but by the works of Christ, which was a perfect sacrifice.
For by one offering He has perfected for ever those who are sanctified. Heb 10:14.
When you receive Jesus you are born again FORVER. Many say that gives license to sin with no consequences.
Well, the cross of Christ was a blank check of love signed by the blood of Jesus 2000 years ago.
The truth is, once a person knows they are eternally secure in Christ, most will fall in love more with Jesus, not less.
Those who have received Christ but continue to live after the flesh will go to heaven, but they suffer the consequences of disillusionment here, and in heaven forfeit eternal rewards, which is why there will be tears in heaven.
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Of course the final decision is up to God.
EPH.2.8-10.KJV
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
What will Trump say if his team somehow manages to get a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine? Boast about it and tell everyone he’s now so virtuous he’s sure he’s going to heaven??? Like he boasts about everything?
Trump’s mother was a Scottish Presbyterian. Trump apparently wasn’t listening when they went to church together (if they went to church together). We Presbyterians learn you are only saved by grace—that works are not your ticket to heaven. They are the “fruits of the Spirit.” That’s something different.
Who are Trump’s spiritual advisors, anyway? They need to get acquainted with the Bible. Trump needs to get acquainted with the Bible. Until he does, he should refrain from commenting on the condition of his soul or his eternal destiny. The Almighty is in charge of that, not him.
Zooker or me? You really should be more careful in your postings, otherwise your ninth grade education will show.
Trumps support for Christian killer, Al Jolani in Syria, sort of casts a cloud over his chances, I’d say. “Give Syria a chance for Greatness” DJT - May 2025.
Trump’s not a theologian and has been pretty much secular his whole life.
This “pastor” has no excuse for pushing work based salvation.
I saw that line, buried deep in the article. Pretty good article up to that point.
“end the wars his own administration is waging against undocumented immigrants, the incarcerated, the LGBTQ community and all the poor and powerless.”
Unbelievable. IOWs, Biden’s admin was more worthy of salvation than Trump. It’s unChristian to believe in laws, borders and to even question someone’s sexuality.
I voted for a President, not a pastor. Donald Trump may not grasp Christian theology but he has been the best President since Reagan, and arguably better.
