End ‘Rat control of Urban Utopias...
But this offends the sensibilities of Bowser. So we can expect a lot of back and forth in the media,,and by public officials such as her, about just how bad is crime in the District of Columbia. Is it really as bad as Trump claims etc. And someone will call Trump a racist etc.
DC just instituted a three day curfew.
Youtes and adults.
Interesting timing.
Key points about the 22nd Amendment and the Supreme Court:
No Direct Ruling:
The Supreme Court has not issued a definitive ruling on the constitutionality or interpretation of the 22nd Amendment itself.
U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton:
The 22nd Amendment was referenced in this 1995 Supreme Court case, which found that states cannot impose term limits on members of Congress, but this was about congressional, not presidential, term limits.
Unresolved Questions:
Legal scholars have debated questions such as: Could a president who served two terms run for Vice President?
If so, could they become President again if the current President dies or resigns?
Could a former two-term president serve as Speaker of the House, a position in the line of presidential succession?
Ok..
This has me confused..
If the District of Columbia was created by land donated by several states so that one state cannot claim to house the federal government, and was created to house the government buildings, why do people LIVE there?
Take the area’s that don’t house federal buildings and give it back to the state that originally donated it.
Easy peasy.
We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital
And just like that, “snap”, it was done.
Amazing.
Va. long ago got their land back.
Well past time to return what Md. deserves.
Re: Presidential Term Limits
Just like declaring a program on the homeless, President Trump could declare a national emergency. He will remain in office until every sanctuary city and State are returned to the rule of law.
The Residence Act of 1790, officially titled An Act for establishing the temporary and permanent seat of the Government of the United States (1 Stat. 130), is a United States federal statute adopted during the second session of the 1st United States Congress and signed into law by President George Washington on July 16, 1790.
The Act provides for a national capital and permanent seat of government to be established at a site along the Potomac River and empowered President Washington to appoint commissioners to oversee the project. It also set a deadline of December 1800 for the capital to be ready, and designated Philadelphia as the nation’s temporary capital while the new seat of government was being built. At the time, the federal government operated out of New York City.

District of Columbia retrocession is the act of returning some or all of the land that had been ceded to the federal government of the United States for the purpose of creating its federal district for the new national capital, which was moved from Philadelphia to what was then called the City of Washington in 1800. The land was originally ceded to the federal government by Virginia and Maryland in 1790. After moving through various stages of federal and state approval, the Virginia portion was returned in March 1847.

They should keep them in DC. The political class created this mess. They can live with it. Don’t want them in my back yard.
Somehow Trump will get the Democrats to defend high crime in DC
How poetic! The deep state counties in MD and VA that made bank on DC get a surge in unemployment AND the DC squalor.
They’ll just go to Virginia and Maryland.
Clapping madly!!!!
And we’ll have a blueprint for other Dem cities.
Start at the DC City Council
If President Trump wants to make DC safe, he will have to kick out ALL the democrats. There is no way around it unless he orders the bulldozing of every rat building, and then there is no where for them to live.
Now that I think about it, that would be an excellent idea.
