He’s just trying to advance and enrich himself off the the ignorant voter base that will buy into his schtick and put him in office.
If the NYC meatheads elect that creepy piggy, it will indicate the beginning of the end of America.
Most likely he will be more to the middle than people here think. He just knows the most politically active people in NYC are hardcore socialists, while the vast majority of voters are mostly indifferent.

But I think true socialism requires the state to seize the means of production.
This is usually done by a seizing, securing, and occupying territory where the production takes place.
Simple question?
How much means of production remains to be seized in the territory of NYC?
Mamdani seems to have the same problem as Zelensky.
Zelensky wants to wage a war and have Uncle Same write the checks to pay for it.
Same deal here, Mamdani want to establish a grand socialist state and have taxpayers OUTSIDE the territory he governs to pay for it.
Communism was an anarchist fantasy, what even Gorbachev called, "The Beautiful Lie." No matter what, someone will exercise control of property. Control is effectively ownership.
It's fun to walk up to a communist at a demonstration on a cold day and say, "Nice jacket. I'm cold. Gimme the jacket." That person will of course say "No." Reply: "You're a communist, so you don't own it. We all do. I'm cold. Now gimme the damned jacket, pig!!!" And so on.
One thing is almost certain, he and his cronies will be much more wealthy pretty fast.
He’ll be deported if he even comes close to taking office, but I believe NY voters will come to their senses. They need to look at Chicago as a cautionary tale.
