Seriously how does someone unknowingly drive across the border into Mexico? Unless he was totally 💩faced. It just doesn't pass the smell test 🙄🤔🤦

That will teach him not to drink and drive. Adio's amigo! Vaya con dios!

He left the US and just ahead of him there were two hitchhikers, Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen Degeneres.

“But he lost those protections when he left the US on June 1 without permission — which he blamed on a wrong turn while working as a rideshare driver on a routine journey near the border in Los Angeles. “
There is no border with Mexico “in” or near Los Angeles. The border is 100+ miles south of Los Angeles.

Exactly. If you are a rideshare driver in Los Angeles, there is no way in heck you are going to accidentally land in Mexico. Jeeze.

“On June 1, 2025, CBP officers arrested Rodriguez as he tried to illegally cross the southern border. He is in ICE custody and is now in expedited removal proceedings.” Hernandez is currently being held at Otay Mesa Detention Center.

I have noticed that A.I. puts out convincing stories, that are factually inaccurate. I’d be willing to wager that is the case, here.

I live near an international border and the road signs start 5 miles out. As you get closer the separate lanes are painted “USA” and “CANADA” in 2 foot tall letters. Dude has no excuse.

it is/was very possible to get confused in san ysidro when trying to exit before going into mexico. I admit it happened to me.
There were last exit and also U turn to USA signs. A few years ago the signage was lacking and in one location not clear, believe me I have lived it....fortunately I just stopped my car and demanded a supervisor, as an inspector demanded I proceed and go to Mexico (without my passport) and I refused. I was following U turn signs. The supervisor let me exit as the signs showed before entering Mexico, and there were two other cars near me in same situation at the time, and they also exited. I dont know if they have corrected it, but bet there are many similar incidents.

“Migrant dad.” Right. How about “illegal alien?” Don’t like that term? Then “fugitive from justice” also applies.
To: Impala64ssa
which he blamed on a wrong turn while working as a rideshare driver on a routine journey near the border in Los Angeles.Huh? The border is nowhere near Los Angeles.

Wonder if he was trying to smuggle something back into the US. With all the signs, he comes up with this excuse? No way, no how.
To: Impala64ssa
Really?
I don’t think there are any border points that are so unmonitored that someone can cross them unawares. I’ve had to cross border points on I-10 entering Texas near El Paso (there is an entrance from Mexico in the area), and I have crossed a border coming back from Canada. In both circumstances, it was very obvious that I was crossing a border.
