Excellent. HD is a great company.
An Asian guy who started out sweeping the floors at Walmart became the CEO. Later, another guy who started there unloading trucks after high school also rose to become the CEO.

Around here, Lowes is better at all of those things. From talking to others online, it depends on the city you live in.
Lowe’s was my favored choice for a long time.
But in the last few years the one I shopped really went down hill.
From talking online, it really ebbs and flows between the two depending on the city. Good thing we have choices.
Yes, the competition does give us choices and gives the businesses incentive to do better.
Bernie Sanders would say “No one needs more than one home improvement store to go to. And that store should be run by the government which can minimize the choices inside the store which will make things easier on the workers who have too much to do.”

Career advancement and stock purchase benefits. I’ll never become a millionaire working there, started at HD as a post retirement job. However, it’s doable for a young person who applies themselves and takes advantage of the company provided career advancement opportunities and generous employee benefit packages.
