Thanks, Speedy Gonzalez.
That’s a long dissenting opinion.
“US Supreme Court lifts limits on deporting migrants to countries not their own”
“U.S. Supreme Court allows — for now — deportations to third countries”
“The Supreme Court on Monday stayed a lower court order that required people set to be deported to countries other than their own to be allowed challenge their deportation orders.
The order focused on a flight of eight men from various countries — including Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cuba and Mexico — which was initially headed to South Sudan but ended up in the East African country of Djibouti in order to give the people time to dispute their final destination. The U.S. government says the men are violent criminals, convicted of crimes including murder, sexual assault, kidnapping and robbery, and they don’t deserve to stay in the U.S.”

Yes!
“You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.”
Does anyone have insight into how the typical narrative of how these people are getting deported. I have heard 2 different scenarios...
1.) They are here illegally. They are picked up for various reasons and sent out of the country.
2.) They are here illegally. They have gone through an immigration adjudication process and are given final orders to leave the country. They stay anyway. They are picked up for various reasons and are sent out of the country.
I don’t care either way. I think in both scenarios they should be thrown back over the fence on a trebuchet. I’m just trying have a response when people say that the illegals aren’t being given due process. If it is #2, then they are obviously being given due process and there is no debate. If it is #1 then they are simply being treated with as much due process as they provided the government when they snuck in.
As long as they have a final removal order it should not matter where they are sent; they can’t stay here. If they want a say in their destination, they can always self-deport.
does this have any effect on the “maryland man”?
Roberts, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and ACB all voted in favor.
Pinging for opinion
“ the remote possibility that a district court exceeded its remedial powers when it ordered the government to provide notice and process to which the plaintiffs are constitutionally and statutorily entitled,”
This makes me wonder what country’s constitution and statues she is referencing.
That was quality entertainment.
Sotomayer should be deported, what a waste.
Even small wins are WINNING!
Yeah, and the wide Latina Sotomayor is known to READ her dissents out loud, annoying the other justices, who have to suffer through her DEI grammar and retarded logic.
I’m a woman and I hope no more women will be appointed to the Court.
