Several years ago, we had a big summer storm that took out the power grid over much of West Virginia; we went over a week without grid electricity.
I didn't give a rat's ass where either of our senators were. I didn't give a rat's ass where any of our representatives were. I didn't give a rat's ass where our governor was, or where any other State politicians were.
Why would I care?
Politicians have less than nothing to do with restoring electric power after a big storm.
Restoring power is First Energy Corp's problem, not the government's.
You texans sure are a pathetic, needy, government-dependent lot ...
What did asking the number of people living in Iran have to do with anything? Tucker asked other dumb questions as well.
><
What was the point with going on and on when Cruz did not know how many millions Iran has? Tucker just wouldn’t let it go!
“Ted Cruz or JD Vance or Marco Rubio?
These are some of the folks I see in 2028”

Please add Pete Hegseth as a 2028 Presidential Candidate.
I think DeSantis is going to try again, too.
Stop talking to me.
************
That is a two way street if you choose to make it so.
Ignore, don’t answer and most times it will stop. jmo
“You texans sure are a pathetic, needy, government-dependent lot ...”
That’s ad homenim to an entire group. And no truth in it
Just for anyone perhaps following this Cruz defensive diatribe I will respond to your statement and again point out that Trump would not be allowed to do this
“we had a big summer storm”
I ask anyone reading, not you of course, to look over my statement. We were in an ice storm 3 days ago we had deaths. Hypothermia for sure. I have a gas fireplace. I’ll never be without a fireplace and fuel after- or before- surviving two weeks of an ice storm on Long Island in 1979 during which no politician would have been caught skipping town at LaGuardia with beach accessories in tow
I do not depend on a senator and certainly not a tone deaf, uninformed one, to stick around but to be in solidarity with one’s constituents is a thing to do if one wants credibility which he proves further on tickers show, he is waning
I have been through hurricanes and ham from a beach town where the homes were built before electricity
We lost power regularly
In Mississippi on an Air Force base we were hit with a tornado after which we had no electricity for weeks. Homes downtown had ftrees in them by the hundreds, the pine teees were uprooted
I’ve been through sandstorms in Saudi Arabia and a burning petroleum cloud that lasted months which I still suffer the effects of
Nothing compares to 15 degrees for four f
Days with no electricity. I was fine I kept my house at 60. But that was dependent on the government for fuel which I do not fully trust. Never would. I worried about mothers with their kids in apartments with no fireplaces. I worried about my elderly neighbor lady whom I could not help. I couldn’t take the chance of her slipping on the sidewalk stuck for hours waiting for an emergency vehicle not coming. The roads were ice
We drive in snow on Long Island but not ice
My boyfriend in 1979 came by and did teach me to negotiate the car in the ice and snow. I would never expect a fire vegetation
Truck or ambulance to move in it
To the contrary I know how much the government can assist in an emergency. I do not depend on them.
I have a manual coffe grinder and a gas stove.
To see the senator at the airport while people were dying, and they were, was not a good thing
I don’t depend on him but I do not depend on him
I do want him to be apologetic and change that image and am glad to see him on Tucker. Then he obfuscates. He is obnoxious in not explaining what’s going on in Iran. He’s quoting the Bible
Now. Keep going with the attacks everyone. Defend Cruz. I don’t get it
But keep in mind, many voters go out of their way to vote against him The republican governor gets way more votes
He struggles every cycle against the democrat contender
Nice diatribe. Cute, even. But it really reinforces my point.
You had a big power failure, and it had the predictable consequences. These things aren’t unique to texas.
And you’re literally whining and moaning because your SENATOR (of all people completely irrelevant to anything practical regarding restoration of power) wasn’t there to hold your hand and put a band-aid on your booboo.
It’s among the most pathetic displays of emotional incontinence I have ever witnessed. It has become a centerpiece of Cruz-hate.
It’s your State ... screw it up any way you like. Just don’t go whining and complaining when your next Senator is a flat-out lunatic communist like Maizie Hirono. It will be exactly what you deserve.
Well, Tucker really ambushed him here. He didn’t come prepared with an almanac of statistical data about iran... The way I see it, Tucker really did more damage to himself than he did to Cruz. I used to be a fan, but this and some other things he’s done/said call all that into question. He may have trouble landing these kind of high profile interviews going forward. Yeah I definitely can live without a podcast about contrail poisoning.
“ predictable consequences. These things aren’t unique to texas.”
I’ve lived in Texas for 35 years. Never has it been below freezing to single digits. Never with precipitation. Never have I lost power for days. Never
I am done with you
He will still be our next Supreme Court Justice, in spite of IVF murders.
I was anti Cruise during the election, But since then he has been good. Carlson is an arsehole. From now on if Tucker is in it/on it I won’t the watching/listening. He is DTM, dead to me.
when he went on dancing with the stars I knew he was a fruitcake ...
“ He didn’t come prepared with an almanac of statistical data about iran...”
This week I am conscious of and reminded of war powers act where Congress has been, in this Iran affair, mouth breathing, ignorant, absent
Why shouldn’t Cruz be encyclopedically informed about Iran and this situation for salary as a US Senator is $174,000 per year Texas gives him?
What is he so busy with?
I’m not defending Cruz just pointing out it was a debate where Tucker argued over every answer Cruz gave.
What answers did Cruz give? It was nothing but evasion
Why don't you ask him? Venting your spleen on FR isn't going to help you.
Here's contact page. What (if any) worthwhile action you take with it is up to you.
I know what he’s busy with. Things that don’t concern me his constituent
Im asking you why its ok with you that he can’t inform himself on things that his job demands that he inform himself on.
He must be informed on Iran. All of it. A media personality can ask him whatever questions and in whatever manner he wants
I have demands on me at my job that I am well informed on each of my cases at a moments notice and I make less than half what he makes. And he works for me.
Something other than holding your hand and putting a band-aid on your boobool, apparently.
I couldn't give a rat's ass that he didn't know the population of Iran. I wouldn't give a rat's ass if it was one of MY senators.
People that do care, like the fans of some Big Media d-bag that tries to play "gotcha" games, don't impress me much.
Go ahead, sweetie: vote for the democRAT next time around. I'm sure you'll like it much better.
Hey, I have joke for you:
What do you call the guy who graduated last in his class at medical school? "Doctor". What do you call the guy who graduated last in his class at law school? "Senator".
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHahahahahahahahahahaha!
I do care that he doesn’t know the population of Iran if he is going to recommend what to do about it as a senator, who do carry the power of declaring war
What’s mot is that his nasty defensive victim martyr response to the press shows me that he knows he should care about it
He could have said in a friendly manner ‘I should know that I’ll find out ‘ or 90 million or so
But he didn’t and days later people are clamoring to enable home to be a lazy sackable
He could also have told that smarmy d-bag Carlson to get his head out of his colon, quit being a jerk, and try to have a polite conversation.
But it would likely have been pointless.
And you wouldn't like that, anyway ... But I'd laugh my head off over it.
