Restoration of regular order is the tell.

If after the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Bill is signed into law by PDJT, Johnson follows up by promptly restoring regular order, we’ll know he and Trump are singing from the same hymnal. And that Johnson truly has Trump’s back.

I haven’t seen the numbers or the basis of the government estimates. the noise makes claims but is not fully explained?

That is an interesting question. The SS trust fund is Treasury securities, which is money loaned to the general fund. Yes, the money that is loaned is spent for other purposes, but it has to be paid back. Since the SS trust fund is now being drawn down, the general fund has to repay SS for the money borrowed, plus interest.

If you think this makes no sense, you’re probably not an accountant....

LOL. It was just a tax increase. There is no social security trust fund. It did nothing to keep SS solvent. Unless the increased revenues were saved in trust to keep them from being spent on other stuff, that money is gone.
