It’s unclear during what government meeting Williams placed the bomb call during, or what Williams’ motive was for the false bomb threat.Written by an A.I.?!
“In an era of heated political rhetoric that has sometimes escalated into violence, we cannot allow public officials to make bomb threats,” said U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, whose office is overseeing federal prosecution of the case.
Actually, our living in an "era of heated political rhetoric" is absolutely irrelevant. Even in a peaceful, nigh Edenic era of measured and balanced political discourse with no danger of escalating into violence, bomb threats are per se immoral, felonious, and terroristic.
The official here also committed these crimes under "color of office," which should result in enhanced penalties.

Approximately 10 minutes later, Williams sent a text message to the Los Angeles Mayor and several high-ranking city officials in the Mayor’s office and falsely reported, “Bomb threat: I received phone call on my city cell at 10:48 am this morning. The male caller stated that ‘he was tired of the city support of Israel, and he has decided to place a bomb in City Hall. It might be in the rotunda.’ Seems to be race-related. Charge him with a hate-crime!

It’s them again, Yogi. I’m surprised he didn’t claim he was assaulted by two white men wearing MAGA hats too...

That’s a lot of volume above his eyes and ears. I wonder what’s in it.

Williams had been put on administrative leave, meaning he likely has been collecting his $245,143 combined salary and benefits without any official duties. As deputy mayor for public safety, Williams would have overseen the city’s fire and police response during the devastating January wildfires.

In urban areas we are living in an era of DEI—where stupidity and incompetence is rewarded.

The costs during and before this POS called in the threat are immense. Thanks LE but can the monetary damage done by paying this POS criminal ever be recovered? Will we be paying for him for the rest of our lives?
