Why in the world would ICE be staked out at the immigration office?
The IRS came after me for an "early withdrawal" penalty for a disbursement from my late mother's retirement account even when the 1099 clearly had the code for "Death" as the withdrawal reason.
It took 2 1/2 years for me to get that resolved, going all the way to the US Tax Court.
I would point out that there also seems to be no consequences for bureaucratic foot-dragging or incompetence.
It’s not good reporting because it never explains the man’s legal status. Or more likely, that is intentional. If he is here illegally, he has got to go. End of story.
A friend of mine tried to become a US citizen. He was from Holland. It took him lots of money and lots of problems. He finally gave up and became a citizen of Canada which was much easier. He is trying to help his kids to become US Citizens.
What is the solution to all of this, meaning the whole immigration situation?
Trump asked for legislation regarding immigration his first term so that he could implement law. There really are not any solid rules now.
Trump has discussed the “big fat beautiful door” regarding immigration but no one wants to hear that. Observing Trump, that “big fat beautiful door” is on the agenda and everything he is doing is going to lead to that. But, there is a process to get there and timing is everything. The democrats are making such a big issue of it that at the right time Trump will lead to a solution when he can get everyone to the table.
Keep your eyes on the ball regarding immigration.
I am always reminded of the first immigration wall and door for reflection in our situation.

Our Founding Fathers designed an inefficient slow moving govt with lots of checks and balances with a purpose.
We should understand that design feature and appreciate it even with the problems we experience.

“Danish man” couldn’t wait to have his mug, pregnant wife and four kids pictures splashed all over the newspapers and internet. I wonder who called the reporters. Danish Man, the nationalization staff, or ICE.
Please note how and where the ICE grabbed this guy. They didn’t have a warrant for someone in particular. they were not at Home Depot. They were at an office where someone goes to try to become a CITIZEN legally!! What, they thought an older man from Denmark walked across the Rio Grande?
ICE does not know how to find illegals legally. My guess is the boss says go out today and don’t come back until you find 5 illegals. So, now ICE is just picking up people who don’t look American. Shades of Russia, China, Cuba and North Korea.
Just about everyone acknowledges that the legal immigration system is broken. But why? My guess is that it's excuse and endless parade of social parasites (lawyers, consultants, H1B fraudsters) and the bureaucrats themselves want it that way.
One of the worst and most corrupt aspects of our system of anarcho-tyranny is that you can't get anything done without paying off a parasite.
You are concerned that this major error by ICE has made the news? So when you are picked up by ICE you plan to keep it a secret??
They're public servants.
They have "qualified immunity".
Therefore, they have no accountability. They have no incentive to do their jobs promptly or correctly.
He is here LEGALLY. There are several articles about this online and they say he is here on a Green Card. His wife and kids are all US Citizens.
This guy was actually trying to do everything right, trying to be naturalized and they grabbed him at the naturalization center.
OK - this lousy article failed to explain that. So why was he detained if he was living under a valid Green Card? Has there been any explanation beyond the very vague report of a miscommunication?
I doubt if most government employees could name even one.
I sure as hell do. I don’t want no publicity. I had too many friends in the who ended up on TV or online, one even played a part in a movie, that died a short time later. I don’t need that.
