In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled You Are Our New Bud Lite’: Megyn Kelly Blows Up on Versace for Dress Ad Featuring Dylan Mulvaney, dangus wrote:

Two things where this isn’t exactly like Bud Lite.

1) Versace is not Budweiser. They’re a fashion house which has been fumbling over itself for decades to appeal to fag hags.

2) Dylan Mulvaney starts off looking as much as he can like an adult woman, as opposed to playing dress-up like a little girl, throwing off big-time groomer/perv vibes.

Mulvaney got in trouble for throwing off big-time groomer/perv vibes. His entry into fame was his (heavily supported-advertised) series called 'Days of Girlhood' wherein he would giggle something like, "Day 39 of Being A Girl" and was generally ridiculed for his childish caricature of women. The question became, "Why isn't his series about 'Days of Womanhood?' Some of his videos from that era showed him jumping around like a little girl and squealing. When people kept commenting that he wasn't trying to appeal to women, or describing himself as a woman, he was trying to appeal to girls as if he were their peer.

So I think he got the message, for now.
