Russia is 100% capable of striking Ukraine anywhere it wants, including whatever bolt hole Zelenski crawls into. Why they didn’t decapitate the regime in Kiev early is anyone’s guess, but maybe they didn’t expect the 2024 Ukraine elections to get cancelled and he would get removed that way.

Russia never had air superiority in Ukraine, and never had the ability to drop bunker busting bombs on Kyiv from bombers. Even if Russia knew where Zelenski's command bunker was, it couldn't hit with big enough conventional bomb's to kill anyone. Using nukes would have other consequences, and belie the claim that Ukies are really Russians who don't know it yet. It has shown little ability for pinpoint airstrikes with its missiles, and that ability has decreased greatly the longer the war has continued. What Russia has done with its missiles is target hospitals and civilian apartment buildings. Russia's missile warfare has been a series of war crimes, but not militarily impressive.

So unless your tinfoil hat gets better reception than Williams’ direct email to the Associated Press, maybe… just maybe sit this one out.
