One of the cars I drive is an older Buick with a cassette player in it. I found an old tape for it. Traffic on one side and Steppenwolf on the other. Not my favorites anymore but they are still fun to listen to.

Where did you get that word "gelesenheit?" Eckhart himself was not a very consistent speller - but just what is that word supposed to mean? I see absolutely no connection to "spark of faith."
Were you instead perhaps referring to the concept of "Gelassenheit" - the state of being released, relaxed?

I read his treatise some forty plus years ago—so the spelling eludes me at this moment, but the concept was the “little Spark of Faith” of which if memory serves me, he was accused of heresy—as for Gelassenheit (proper spelling) being releasement, I always understood it as Spark of Faith, which of course can be considered a form of release. I would have to re-read Heidegger to understand what he meant by that statement.
And perhaps it was my initial readings of Heidegger where I found the term and since he was basing it upon Eckhart’s earlier treatises—that I conflagulated the two. Who knows—But I still would insist that this flash of light represents the introduction of the soul at the moment of creation of a human.
That’s when an angel gets its wings.
