When Bill Clinton fired all 92 US Attorneys on Day One, did any headlines refer to it as “norm-shattering”?

These partisan, no integrity losers deserved to be fired some time ago. Good riddance.

“The integrity of our legal system and the independence of DOJ requires that laws are enforced impartially...”

Unlike what THEY were doing. This game is getting a bit tiresome.

The DOJ is NOT independent.

"Stacey" looks like a three-way cross between a banshee, an Afghan hound, and a man.

At least original.

It’s not “norm shattering”, Clinton, Obama and Biden did it.

For Pubs to do what Dems do can be norm shattering.

In my experience, “what is good for the goose is good for the gander” is something that silly geese do not get, and many geese are silly.

The Clintons fired all US Attorneys as soon as they got into office, and also fired the WH travel staff. While they were finding more US attorneys to fill the vacancy, plenty of hanky panky went on, I’m sure. These are the Clintons. Hank E. Panky is Bill’s favorite uncle.

(White House abruptly fires career Justice Department prosecutors in latest norm-shattering move

...White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement that the White House “in coordination with” the Justice Department has dismissed more than 50 U.S. attorneys and deputies in recent weeks..)

EXCELLENT!!

These are US attorneys not assistant US attorneys. These are all political appointees. They are just taking out the trash sooner than later. There’s no reason to have any political appointee holdovers from previous administration.

One presumes that fired US Attorneys and deputy attorneys, with their abundant trial experience will have no trouble getting jobs at some multiple of their federal salaries. I presume that the problem is that they want to practice grift, not law.

Only thing earth-shattering going on here is that, when evidence of wrong-doing is discovered, people are getting punished.

The “norm shattering move” was the DOJ engaging in lawfare to prosecute Trump and other Trump administration officials to destroy Biden’s and the Dems’ political opposition.
