Tesla held off in the solid state battery race. Supposedly, Mercedes will be the first production vehicle with this technology, promising a 621 mile range. Toyota and Hyundai are supposedly close behind.
That said, solid state batteries have seemed to be like cold fusion- lots of claims, with little results.
BYD (China) is making significant roads into Tesla’s market share in Asia and Europe. Apparently, the reliability of the BYD vehicles is questionable.
Chuckles owns his Tesla.
And it is way up from its low. Currently $263/share, doing very well compared to last year. In April 2024 was at $141/share. In March 29th 2025 was at $175/share. In January 3rd 2025 was at $410/share. Quite a run-up. Still way up compared to a year ago. And its on its way to go over $400/share by year end. Buy on the dips, that's what I do.
