H1-B laws clearly state that a position MUST go to a US Citizen, unless there are NO qualified US Citizens for the role. In that case, an H1-B Visa holder can be used. True, but the law is weakly enforced AND skilled "Position Description Writers" throw oddball requirements in the mix! Such "Requirements" exclude US citizens for no reason other than "Foreign workers work scared and harder".

The lawsuit was filed by three U.S. citizens—Purushothaman Rajaram, an IT worker; Ekta Bhatia, a software engineer; and Qun Wang, a data scientist. As American as Szechuan curry.
And even people who could be of foreign origin, but now US citizens, can't find American jobs in technology. They should think about how their children will fare when they get their degrees and are looking at the job market in the future.

"case could impact H-1B visa hiring"
God, I hope so.
Stop that B.S. and ship all of the H-1Bers back to where they came from.

“We need competent STEM people.”
Stop suppressing the prevailing wage with cheap visa labor, and we’ll have all we need.
