What if the election ends up with somebody more hard-line than Zelensky? What then? Nobody is going to be elected president of Ukraine by promising to end the war and instituting the negotiated terms that Putin and Trump called for.

Maybe Trump has someone like that in mind. I think Trump is just trying to butter up the Russians to get them to the negotiating table.

Well if he already got his MILLIONS from the US and has his MANSIONS in Switzerland to join his mother in law I guess it is someone else’s turn to FLEECE Americans.

So sad.
Regardless of if one loves Russia or hates Russia, sensible people everywhere predicted that Russia would destroy Ukraine if NATO advanced in Ukraine - AND they also predicted that there was NO WAY NATO and their Ukraine Allies (puppets) to win in the long run.
And here we are. 1 million dead Ukrainians, 15 million permanently gone, Ukraine in ruins - and NATO humiliated.
Neocons in the USA at least are out of power - but those who caused and promoted this war in London, Brussels and Paris still must face justice.

There will need to be a cease fire before any elections for at least a brief campaign season, so that people can get to the polls without being bombed, and election officials be put in place to supervise.
I would envision that Ukraine could become a neutral country as Austria after WW2.Hopefully US could get full accounting of money spent and mineral rights as part of compensation.
I don’t think Zelensky will be there. Maybe be he has a place in Cyprus.

That won't work. Putin is not somebody that can just be buttered up, when he's got much bigger goals in mind and won't be stopped. A temporary setback in Ukraine is just that, temporary. Terrorists in the middle-east have suffered many temporary setbacks, and they keep coming to try to eliminate Israel and western ways of life. Putin is the terror in Europe and can't be stopped. We never learn.

He started going to Trumps enemies in the media to complain. I’m not sure who advised him to do that.

He sort of campaigned for Harris.

That’s not what Trump is doing at all. At best you could say Trump is pressuring Zelensky to take the deal that Bessent brought to him which is a pre requisite for Trump to continue support for Ukraine. Part of this is Zelensky calling Trump out in the media over the last few days. Getting way too cute.

“Could be ousted!”
The guy is a disaster.
He has a 4% approval rating and that’s non democratic. They are not a democracy
He was disinvited to his own cease fire talks.
