I have Co-workers who also believe that Politics is Dirty - but they have also told me that their Pastors are telling them not to Vote because Voting is not Biblical.
Not unusual. Study history. They frequently abstain from voting.
Source?
Voter turnout will be down among all groups, not just evangelical Christians.
It's designed to get everyone hand wringing. Go vote. Encourage others. Ignore these polls.
If they indeed ARE Christians, they cannot vote for Harris, based on the kill-the-baby issue alone.
They need to be reminded that God often uses flawed men for his purposes.
It amazes me that some evangelicals think they shouldn’t vote. Someone mentioned that it takes up time from evangelizing. How many people do nothing all day but evangelize? Do they not have jobs, shop for groceries, eat a meal, vacuum the carpet, etc, etc? It seems like an excuse.
And I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s not Biblical. Here is one scripture, for example:
Exodus 18:17-26 ESV /
Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone. Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You shall represent the people before God and bring their cases to God, and you shall warn them about the statutes and the laws, and make them know the way in which they must walk and what they must do. Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. ...
I don’t believe the Barna polls. His definition of “Christian” is far too wide. I’ve talked to hard core, pro-abortion and homopromo liberals who claim to be Christians.
Well done, thank you.
People agonize that Trump has faults, so they don’t want to vote for him. Someone asked something to the effect if we have family members or friends who we don’t always agree with, but we still want them in our lives.
No one but the Lord is absolutely perfect.
