Cheat grease, count till you drop.
I’m sure that the framers who represented the most populous states in the 1780s would have preferred nationwide majority rule over the Electoral College. Or, considering that the Constitution leaves the method of selecting each state’s electors to the legislature thereof (i.e., there is no constitutional mandate to conduct popular votes which in any way determine the identities of the state’s electors), maybe not - who knows. But when Waltz says of eliminating the electoral college, "that’s not the world we live in,” he is not whistling Dixie. Good luck getting the smallest 50% of the states to agree to changing that!
“Harris campaign quickly wades in after Walz says Electoral College ‘needs to go’”
And when it does, goodbye US Republic and hello Democratic totalitarian government.
God help us.
Sounds like the setup in “The hunger games” where the “districts” support the greedy “Capitol”.
Azhos that can’t win an election without stealing it sure do complain about the electoral college a lot. There’s a great reason we have the electoral college. Its only problem is that retards don’t understand what the reasons are. No one bothered to teach them about it in school.
True. Of course they want to get rid of it. All of them.
But they don’t want the Smellies to actually know what they want to do. Just like all of their policies.
I think I know what needs to go, Timmah....
Exactly.
Excellent points. Electoral College is vital. What if half the population lived in NYC for instance and all others scattered equally through the country? What if all in NYC always voted liberal ticket? What if 10% of those elsewhere voted liberal? I think everyone with at least one living brain cell gets it as did our founding fathers.
Scary as it is a perfect example of the truth.
Saying the quiet part out loud has become a such a Democrat staple, that they are now simply saying what they mean.
RE: The losers always argue this
True.
And less used is what a guy said to me when Reagan won the entire US except for MN and DC: “Since tens of millions of voting age people didn’t register or vote, he didn’t really win a majority.”
The scariest part is reading that 63% of Americans favor a national popular vote over the Electoral College.
Geez
“Harris and Walz and most Democrats, are historically illiterate and have no understanding of the Constitution “
No Schiff Sherlock, because they don’t give a damn about the Constitution.
Tim showed his true color and it scares the hell out of me.
Why don’t the democrats test the popular vote system out in their Presidential Primary?
Answer: Because they like the state by state delegate(super delegate) system they currently have.
