I read the article.
1. The article is from NPR, so it is likely heavily politically oriented, and therefore of suspect veracity.
2. The semiconductor ETFs are up almost 2% today as of this writing. They can’t be hurting too badly, including any critical supply chains.

100% correct. The media will only talk about Asheville because it is a progressive colony.
The quartz is made into crucibles. I remember reading about this and Sibelco in some article on critical materials.
