My current suggestion for a deal:

24 hours of no bombing for every live hostage returned
12 bonus hours for each additional live hostage returned on the same day within the first 20 calendar days of the agreement
6 hours of no bombing for every dead hostage delivered up

24 hours of no bombing if a complete set of tunnel maps is furnished to the Israeli negotiating team before September 15th

Israel to supply a list of possible hostages within ten days. Israel shall acquire the right to use in Gaza 20kg of high explosive for each day a listed individual is not returned or delivered up.

HAMAS and the Palestinian Authority separately and jointly agree to criminally prosecute and severely punish all violence against hostages.

At any time, Israel may shoot to kill by gunfire any person presenting an apparent armed threat to Israelis or any person specified by Israel reasonably suspected of a war crime who is not in a widely known, habitually judicially used, government funded detention facility for common criminals any time at least 24 hours after such request has been made and remains in effect. Except during no bombing periods, Israel shall have the right to kill by missiles with warheads of less than six kilograms of high explosive any such persons.

Restrictions imposed on Israel by this agreement shall voided by any Gazan source action in gross violation of this agreement.

I like your thinking. It’s the only viable solution.

“I have a better idea. Drop the lifers, one a day, onto Hamas’ held areas from planes @ 5,000 ft. Indicate this will continue until Hamas surrenders unconditionally.”
—————
First spray liquefied pig fat over the entire drop zone, and let the Muslims know that this is exactly what you’ve done. Then make sure that the helicopter or cargo plane they are dropped them from is still spraying when you push them out the door, so that these people are covered in the stuff also. No entry into “Paradise” for these guys.

Hamas & Islam are “double-bind” players in a game of “damned if you do; damned if you don’t”. Eventually it becomes a zero sum game that allows Hamas & their ilk to create non-stop chaos, catastrophic conflict against Israel & any others they choose to engage in their effort to control, dominate & eradicate those willing to participate & allow the continuation of the double bind. The only way to stop a double bind game is to put an end to engaging with the double-bind player by refusing to play “damned if I do; damned if I don’t” or by winning & imposing sanctions & order upon them.
