If 597 citizens were denied the right the vote, I don’t think AP would refer to that as a “tiny fraction”, particularly if they were potential Democrat voters. And each illegal vote effectively disenfranchises a legitimate voter. It’s just as bad.

Note how the gaslight media jumps at the opportunity to give context for a number when it undercuts the MAGA position, but they never give context when it would undercut their own, e.g. “the tiny fraction of unlawful firearms homicides committed using AR-15 style weapons”.

Even worse, the relevant comparison isn’t the number of illegal voters relative to the total electorate but rather the number of illegal voters relative to the margin of victory in important recent elections. The latter is of course a much larger fraction.
