Let's take the beef industry but this, obviously, applies to all of them.
So Kamala and Timpon decree to the grocers that they can only charge $1 a pound for ground chuck at the retail level. The grocers then call the slaughterhouses and say, we were buying your beef for this, now it's going to be this. The slaughterhouses are going to tell the ranchers that that steer you were getting $2 a pound on the hoof for is now only worth $0.50.
These ranchers, now faced with CERTAIN losses for the indefinite future in addition to MAJOR uncertainty because now the government can simply decree the price for your product, will flood all their breeding stock onto the markets in unprecedented numbers. Beef prices will collapse and ground chuck will then fall to $0.15 per pound ... and Kamala will step out into the limelight to take her bow.
Yet, soon enough those supplies of cattle are exhausted and the processors are left struggling to secure a new supply of beef from overseas markets which turn them away for higher paying buyers elsewhere.
Slaughterhouses close, ranchers exit the cattle business, and store shelves quickly empty of beef products. Angry consumers then go looking for blame.
Kamala says "blame the meat processors" ... but the meat processors have folded up.
She then says "blame the ranchers" ... but the ranchers are no more. And the drive-by idiot press will display zero curiosity about explaining HOW things came to this point. They will parrot the words their handlers tell them to and move on to a feature on Taylor Swift.
Then the black markets spring up and the shooting starts as the government cracks down on desperately hungry people who have nowhere else to turn. Expect martial law ... to keep everyone "safe", don'tcha know. Just like in Venezuela recently and many other countries in the past.
Hope you are right.
