You should be perfectly able to legally shoot a home invader.
Squatters would shoot the property owner, present a forged lease and claim they were defending themselves.
“It is important that we protect the rights of both property owners and also renters.
............................................
Squatters aren’t renters. Biden’s spokeswoman is an idiot.
Fixed it for him.
Watch what happens when a squatter decides to do so in the property of someone rich, famous, or democrat.
The article heading is wrong in one very important aspect. There should be no “eviction” involved. That assumes a landlord-tenant relationship and the obligations and rights that entails. It should read.
“State wants to make it easier to protect property owners from squatters.”
I do believe you are owed a Kewpie Doll.
most squatters are occupying homes owned by WEF investors.
I can say that because BlackRock, Vanguard, Berkshire et al. have cornered the real-estate market by buying a sizeable % of single dwelling homes and are leaving them unoccupied... up 40% in some neighborhood, just like 40% of US farmland that’s not growing food.
Counties can address this directly by targeting these Globalist corporate landlords to take pressure off the retail market for their citizens.
Congress needs to force a anti-trust vs BlackRock, Vanguard, Berkshire et al.
Aren’t most congress folk beholden financially to stated entities? Might there be a problem with Representatives being owned by Corporations? I realize that may ruffle a few feathers because it is a similar complaint of many leftists. I can see a fusion of clarity in some arguments. Funny how when we go far enough right we start to sound like some fringe leftists. Common cause? Say it isn’t so.
Squatters in my neighborhood were non existent. Primarily because I lived in a neighborhood with infrequent police presence and thoughtful neighbors who knew each other and very rarely would call the police but would find a way of notifying each other.
From what I recall if rent wasn’t paid there were cousins or “helpers” could keep anything of value inside the house, one month rent and half the deposit. The rest of the tenant’s stuff was recycled at the dump or empty lot including the squatters.
There weren’t viral videos, no big speeches, no yapping or arguing, no flashing bogus deeds or agreements. That’s why God invented cousins and gangs. ….. simpler times I guess. It seems that after you find a couple of squatters crawling up the street or unable to even get on a bus, that squatters just move to another location……. God bless their little hearts if THE SQUATTERS called the cops. Because the next time they’ll be bringing yellow tape, chalk and body bags.
(Which I don’t condone and only witnessed as a child). But I suppose it taught me something about paying your bills and being close to family and friends in your neighborhood.
Its ridiculous that it takes months or even years to remove squatters from a property. If I steal your car and get caught driving what you can clearly prove to be your car, do I get to keep driving it around for 6 months before I have to give it back?
No. Of course not. I’d get the cuffs slapped on me and be taken off straight to jail - and rightly so. Why should it be different with your real estate?
F the G!
Exactly... Pass that law and it’s the end of squatters. Same for illegals.
Two-tiered justice.
Someone here referred to Garbage Pail Kid a while back.
Did Kamala pick a new running mate?
Has been for a LONG time.
NH has made it ridiculously difficult for squatters to claim possession of someone else’s property.
And ENFORCE it.
Laws are nothing more than virtue signaling unless there's action behind them.
Good. At the very least. It should be IMPOSSIBLE for a squatter to steal a property.
