Boar’s Head recall expanded to include 7 million meat, on top of the 200,000 pounds of ready-to-eat liverwurst products and some other deli meats amid an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes illnesses linked with sliced meat from grocery store deli counters. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/30/health/boars-head-recall-listeria/index.html

More sabotage of America’s food sources. What we need is more foreigners and we’ll all be starving our asses off. This didn’t happen this frequently until crap started floating down the Rio Grande into America.

Before you eat any cold cuts heat them in a microwave for one minute to kill the bacteria. The same goes for fruit like apples and plums. It is a little warm, but you won’t end up worshiping the toilet god for eating bacteria infected food. Been there and done that. YMMV. IMHO.

I went to Publix, yesterday morning. The whole “Deli Crew” throwing things out.
It’s going to be costly for everyone involved.

The complete list is entirely comprised of pork and products that mix pork with beef or chicken.

I imagine Boars Head is going to be taken to the cleaners.

Your experience is an outlier. The average person would have a better chance of being struck by a shark.

No word on HOW the delivery meat got contaminated? Listeria is usually found building cooling water systems and roof top chill water systems. Did the factory have a leak into the meat from the chill water system ?
7m pounds is close to 70m dollars in lost product, throw in a few multi-million dollar lawsuits. Time to short boarshead...

i can’t help but wonder if they hired a bunch of illegals and ended contaminating all that meat.

Take heart. Muslims wipe their arse with their left hand, so they never have to wash their hands and you never have to worry.

Knee jerk reaction.
I’m going to be dissatisfied if I can’t get Boarshead. I bet even things not on the list will be thrown away.
Losing their turkey will be sad.

Wife just came home from a spacecoast FL Publix with boarshead sliced turkey.
How would one know whether their purchases are safe?

Also the next batch they make to replace all that will cost much more and it’ll probably stay way.

I wanted to buy the “Oven Gold Turkey”, not going to take a chance. I had food poisoning many years ago and thought I was going to die.

You warm a cold cut in a microwave for a minute you got dried out rubber.
