Well, after the news today, maybe he’ll be able to restore some of his reputation.

I think it shows how f@@ked up he is that the original announcement did not endorse Harris and so one has to go on his X account and correct that oversight 15 minutes later.

I don’t think this is a good move for anyone. They still had a better chance with incumbent president.

“I don’t think this is a good move for anyone. They still had a better chance with incumbent president.”

These are wild situations to try and strategize around. Certainly biden would be considered the worst dim candidate, but the disarray at the convention and short time and funding will be horrible for whichever candidate. And before you give kamala too much credit, check out any interview where she gets push back. Her word salads don’t rescue her.

Re: 15 - no, that’s not what Halperin reported.

Here’s what Halperin write (in part) on his Substack on Thursday:

“BREAKING NEWS: Multiples sources outline the apparent state of play on Biden at this time: * plans to announce withdrawal from nomination as early as this weekend, with Sunday most likely *”

Re: 48:

Except he didn’t say Saturday 07/20.

Halperin got it correct when he reported Biden will withdraw from the nomination “.. as early as this weekend, with Sunday most likely”.

Halperin got it correct

Yes he did, it was bang-on.

And what kind of genius declares Halperin "fallen" before the Sunday prediction was proved one way or the other?

This thread should live in infamy, and every FReeper should in future take "Sidebar Moderator" posts with a huge grain of salt.
