My most accurate rifle is a .22-250 Remington VLS Model 700 varmint rifle that shoots through the same hole at 200 yards using 55gr Hornady V-Max #22271 bullets and 36.5gr Varget.
Built up a .308 Howa 1500 26" Heavy Varmint #6 Barrel (1:10 Twist) with precision bedded Bell and Carlson Stock. Most accurate round is the same for my M1A in high power shooting using 168gr BTHP / 41.5gr IMR 4895 / @ 2,500 fps in Winchester cases and CCI 200 primers. Consistently 0.5 MOA in the varmint rifle.
I have been at my local Rifle Range on more than one occasion when Federal Counter Sniper or HRT teams either from the local FBI or US Marshall Service had teams practicing with their spotters. They were typically practicing at 200 yards. Looking at their downrange targets through my spotting scope they were always 1" groups or tighter.
Here it is again. I just checked. It worked for me.
